The following will outline the possible Task Assignments players at Arcanorum may encounter at an event.
Please use this as a reference guide when making your selections.

Pre-Event Tasks:
These Tasks involve being on site prior to game start, typically arriving between 4:30 and 5:00pm.
Trailer Unload: Players will assist with unloading the cargo trailer and moving plastic bins, buckets, and other containers into Monster Camp. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30lbs.
NPC Camp Setup: Players will assist with bringing items to NPC Camp and unpacking, sorting, and arranging NPC Camp items into place. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30 lbs.
Mod Space Setup: Players will assist with transporting items to the Mod Space, unpacking, sorting, and arranging items into place. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30 lbs. This may also include (while in groups of no less than 3) the initial setup and distribution of Bloom, Night Prize, and Mining Nodes throughout the site. Note that Players with the relevant Gathering Skills may be ineligible for the placement of Nodes.
Mid-Game Tasks:
These Tasks are carried out multiple times for the entire duration of the event.
Monster Desk: Players will engage in the handing out of pre-assigned cards to NPCs while ensuring NPCs know how their cards work. Players will assist in the distribution of treasure assigned by encounters.
NPC Camp Combat Shift: Players will engage in Combat through Field Battles, Mods, Encounters, etc. Players will be assigned Cards and Costumes to wear during these instances of Combat.
NPC Camp Non-Combat Shift: Players will engage in NPC Duties such as Roleplaying; Mod Hooking; Traps & Lock Setting; Note-taking; applying Makeup and distributing costumes to NPCs and Monsters; assisting with Water and Food refills; and general clean up, sorting, and tidying of Monster Camp.
NPC Camp Cleaning – Full Time: Players will assist with sorting, organizing, and setting aside items for replacements and repairs, along with general tidying.
Encounter Setup / Tear Down (Per Encounter): Players will assist with the transportation of items to and/or from Encounter locations, as well as sorting, decorating, and placing and/or removal of those items.
Node Marshalling (Per Node): Players will engage in (while in groups of no less than 3) the re-seeding of Bloom and Night Prizes. Note that Players with relevant Gathering Skills may be ineligible for this Task Assignment.
Field Battle Setup / Tear Down (Per Field Battle): Players will engage in the transportation and set up of necessary equipment and props to Field Battle Locations and/or assist with the remove of these items from Field Battle Locations, as well as assisting with Materia retrieval.
Field Battle Marshalling (Per Field Battle): Players will assist with the monitoring of Field Battles for compliance of Rules, and Safety, as well as general observation of the activity to ensure Community wellbeing.
New Player Mod Volunteering: Players will assist with running the New Player Mod to introduce our First Time PCs to the game. This may include combat positions, roleplay positions, or general assistance roles such as setup, tear down, and/or Safety Marshalling.
Dishwashing / Cooking / Tavern cleaning: Players will ensure the Tavern area is clean of trash, as well as assisting with cooking and dishwashing duties when necessary. This task may not be required at all games.
End of Event Tasks:
These Tasks involve staying past the End of Game, and can extend to 2:00pm. Please note these Tasks are in addition to normal End of Event cabin assignments. Signing up for these Task Assignments allows for extra coverage of Tasks assigned to cabins where players will need to leave before the End of Event.
Trailer Load: Players will assist with repacking and reloading the cargo trailer and moving plastic bins, buckets, and other containers from Monster Camp. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30lbs.
NPC Camp Tear Down: Players will assist with removing items from NPC Camp as well as repacking and transporting them to a designated area. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30 lbs.
Mod Space Tear Down: Players will assist with the removal of items from the Mod Space, as well as repacking and transporting to a designated area. Typical expectation is lifting up to 30 lbs.
Packet / Trash / Blue Card Sweep (By Location): Players will ensure the retrieval of all Spell-Packets, Spell-Balls, Trash, and Blue Cards from assigned locations. This may include the retrieval of Nodes, dependant on assigned location. Retrieval of Nodes must be performed in groups of no less than 3, and may be done by all Players.
Laundering of Costuming and used fabric items between games: Players will complete the laundering of assigned Costuming and/or used fabric items while using specific detergents to prevent allergic reactions in the Community. This must be done between games, and items must be returned to Staff before the start of the next scheduled event
Note: Laundering of Costuming is a limited Task. Players will be rotated through this Task dependent on demand. Players who are selected to Launder will have their shifts decreased to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
